Throughout the year, we frequently have openings for a variety of crucial roles within our distribution network. We are currently seeking general candidates for positions including:

• Receiving Clerks: Responsible for accurately receiving and documenting incoming inventory, ensuring that all shipments match purchase orders and meet our stringent quality standards.
• Pickers: Efficiently and accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order requests, preparing them for shipment to our stores.
• Loaders: Carefully and safely loading outgoing shipments onto trucks, ensuring that products are secure and organized for transport.
• Cycle Counters: Conducting regular inventory audits to maintain accurate stock levels and identify any discrepancies, playing a vital role in inventory management.
• Forklift Operators: Operating forklifts to safely move and stack materials within the warehouse, requiring certification and adherence to strict safety protocols.
• Reach Truck Operators: Utilizing reach trucks to access and retrieve goods from high-level racking systems, demanding precision and skill.
• Auditors: Conducting thorough audits of processes and procedures within the distribution centre, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Combiners: Assembling and combining various components of orders into complete shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the fulfillment process.

Needed Skills and Background:

• High school diploma (Grade 12).
• Warehouse work experience is helpful, even if it’s just starting out (your job will depend on how much experience you have).
• A license to drive a forklift or reach truck is a must for those driver jobs.
• Must be good with Excel.
• Must be able to work different shifts, including days, nights, weekends (even Sundays), and holidays.

Duties and Responsibilities at Boxer Superstores

Available Roles and Responsibilities:

• General Worker: The General Worker is crucial to maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse. This role is primarily responsible for ensuring the timely return of all overstocked, damaged, and short-dated stock to the Distribution Center (DC). This includes identifying such stock, accurately documenting the quantities and reasons for return, and preparing the stock for transportation back to the DC following established procedures. Maintaining accurate records of returned stock is essential.
• Picker: Accuracy is paramount in the general Picker role. Pickers are responsible for accurately selecting stock from designated locations within the warehouse, precisely matching the quantities and items specified on the provided picking slips. This involves carefully reading and understanding the picking slips, navigating the warehouse efficiently, and ensuring the correct items are selected and placed in designated containers for shipment to our stores. Attention to detail and a commitment to minimizing errors are critical.
• Cycle Counter: Maintaining accurate inventory records is vital for effective warehouse management. The Cycle Counter plays a key role in this by diligently tracking stock quantities within the warehouse. This involves performing regular cycle counts, comparing physical stock counts with inventory records, investigating discrepancies, and updating the inventory management system accordingly. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and familiarity with inventory management principles.
• Forklift Driver: The Forklift Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient loading and offloading of trucks arriving at the warehouse, as well as the movement and stacking of pallets within the warehouse. This requires skilled operation of a forklift, adherence to all safety regulations, and a thorough understanding of warehouse layout and procedures. The role requires a valid forklift certification and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. This role also ensure the maintenance of the forklift and reports any faults to their supervisor to enhance smooth warehouse operation.
• Reach Truck Driver: Specializing in high-reach operations, the Reach Truck Driver is responsible for operating a reach truck to efficiently pack pallets onto high-level racks within the warehouse. This requires precision maneuvering, a strong understanding of weight distribution, and adherence to all safety protocols related to reach truck operation. The role requires valid Reach Truck certification and a commitment to safety at all times.
• Auditor: The Auditor is the final line of defense before stock is dispatched to our stores. They are responsible for meticulously counting stock, thoroughly checking for any signs of damage, and ensuring that expiry dates are accurate
