Job Description:
Sandberg, Are you a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic with a passion for heavy equipment? Sandberg are seeking a highly motivated and reliable individual to join our team as a full-time Diesel Mechanic, specializing in the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty machinery.
In this sandberg role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of heavy equipment, including but not limited to bulldozers, rock crushers, excavators, loaders, and other related construction and mining equipment. Your sandberg expertise will be crucial in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our valuable assets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative maintenance tasks on heavy equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry best practices.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system malfunctions using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and electrical systems.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify potential problems and proactively address maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and technicians to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and technologies related to heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sandberg Diesel Mechanic, with a strong emphasis on heavy equipment repair.
- In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other related components.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot malfunctions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications (e.g., trade certificate, diploma) are highly desirable.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Sandberg offer a competitive salary ranging from R25,000.00 to R50,000.00 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Location: This sandberg position is based in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo 0920. Due to the nature of the work, reliable transportation to the worksite is essential. Candidates must reside within a commutable distance of Louis Trichardt or be willing to relocate to the area prior to the start of employment.
