Specifically, Timber Manufacturing Company is looking for a Finance and Cashier who meets the Following Criteria:
Duties:
To successfully fulfill the responsibilities of this position, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in the following areas and be capable of performing the associated tasks:
- Daily Cash Handling: Timber role requires the ability to accurately and responsibly handle cash transactions on a daily basis, including receiving payments, providing correct change, and safeguarding cash assets.
- Cash Register Operation: Timber candidates must be skilled in operating a cash register system, including scanning items, processing various payment methods (cash, credit, debit, etc.), applying discounts and promotions, and voiding transactions when necessary. Familiarity with common point-of-sale (POS) system functionalities is expected.
- Cash Reconciliations: The position entails performing regular cash reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of cash balances. This involves comparing register totals to actual cash on hand, investigating discrepancies, and preparing reconciliation reports to document findings.
- Numerical Aptitude and Calculation Skills: A strong aptitude for numbers and excellent calculation skills are essential. This includes the ability to quickly and accurately perform basic mathematical operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and apply these skills to tasks such as calculating sales tax, processing refunds, and managing inventory.
- Customer Care and Service Excellence: Providing exceptional customer care is a crucial aspect of this role. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, a friendly and helpful demeanor, and the ability to effectively address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive customer experience. This includes actively listening to customer needs, communicating clearly and professionally, and maintaining a positive attitude even in challenging situations.
Salary:
Pay: Between R8,000.00 and R10,000.00 each month.
