Correctional Services Learnership Training Program: 2025 Intake

The Department of Correctional Services is pleased to announce the upcoming Learnership Training Program for the 2025 intake. We are currently providing access to the official PDF Application Forms for individuals interested in pursuing a career in correctional services. This correctional services learnership offers a comprehensive training experience designed to equip successful applicants with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in this demanding yet rewarding field.

Important Information for Applicants:

Successful applicants must understand that this learnership program is designed to lead to permanent employment within the Department of Correctional Services upon completion of the training. Minimum Requirements for Application:

To be considered for the Correctional Services Learnership Training Program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent qualification.
  • Citizenship: Applicants must be South African citizens and possess a valid South African Identity Document (ID).
  • Required Documents: Applicants must be prepared to submit all required supporting documents as stipulated in the application form. This may include certified copies of your ID, Matric certificate, and any other relevant qualifications.
  • Criminal Record: Applicants must have a clean criminal record. A background check will be conducted as part of the selection process.

All candidates must carefully check the needed qualifications for each job and make sure their CV shows how well they meet those qualifications and the job duties. It’s up to the candidate to make sure the Department of Correctional Services (DCS) gets their application before the deadline. The DCS can choose not to fill any open jobs, depending on what the department needs and plans.
