Job Description:
PEP CELL PURPOSE OF POSITION: To effectively lead and manage a pep retail store team, maximizing profitability and ensuring operational excellence. This involves achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) across various business functions, including:
- Driving Sales Growth: Implementing strategies to increase sales revenue, including proactive customer engagement, effective product merchandising, promotional activities, and achieving individual and pep team sales targets.
- Cost Control and Budget Management: Monitoring and managing store expenses to stay within allocated budgets, identifying areas for cost optimization, and implementing measures to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary spending.
- Risk Mitigation and Loss Prevention: Implementing and enforcing security protocols to minimize risks such as theft, fraud, and damage to property, conducting regular audits, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Inventory Management and Stock Loss Prevention: Overseeing inventory control procedures to minimize stock loss due to theft, damage, or obsolescence, conducting regular stocktakes, and ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Administrative Oversight and Compliance: Ensuring accurate and timely completion of administrative tasks, including payroll, scheduling, reporting, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Maintaining World-Class Store Standards: Upholding exceptional store standards in terms of cleanliness, organization, visual merchandising, customer service, and overall store presentation, creating a positive and inviting shopping environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive Sales and Enhance Customer Experience: Proactively contribute to increased sales revenue by consistently delivering exceptional customer service. This includes actively engaging with customers to understand their needs, providing knowledgeable assistance, and resolving any issues promptly and effectively. Uphold world-class store standards by ensuring a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment that enhances the overall shopping experience. Diligently maintain the store’s image in alignment with brand guidelines, paying attention to visual merchandising, displays, and overall presentation. Implement promotional campaigns effectively, ensuring accurate pricing, clear signage, and impactful product placement to maximize customer engagement and drive sales.
- Minimize Stock Loss and Protect Assets: Actively foster a positive and ethical store culture that prioritizes honesty and integrity. Implement and strictly adhere to all company security measures, including loss prevention protocols, surveillance systems, and access control procedures. Diligently follow established stock handling procedures, from receiving and storage to display and replenishment, to minimize damage, spoilage, and theft. Employ meticulous cash handling procedures, including accurate till operation, secure cash storage, and regular reconciliation, to prevent financial discrepancies and safeguard company funds.
- Manage Costs Effectively and Drive Efficiency: Embrace the company’s low-cost culture and actively seek opportunities to improve operational efficiency and reduce expenses. Identify areas for improvement in workflow processes, resource utilization, and energy consumption. Implement strategies to minimize waste, optimize inventory levels, and negotiate favorable terms with suppliers. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost management and proactively address any areas of concern.
- Ensure Administrative Compliance: Accurately and efficiently complete all administrative pep duties within the store, adhering strictly to company guidelines and procedures. This includes processing paperwork, managing records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to sales, inventory, personnel, and other key operational areas.
- Lead, Develop, and Motivate the “Dynamo” Team: Provide strong pep leadership and guidance to a dynamic team of “Dynamos,” fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Take ownership of team training and development, identifying skill gaps and providing opportunities for professional growth. Coach team members on best practices, customer service techniques, and sales strategies to enhance their performance and contribute to overall store success. Conduct regular performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and setting clear expectations for individual and team performance.
- Maintain Health, Safety, and Housekeeping Standards: Ensure the pep store meets or exceeds all health, safety, and housekeeping standards to provide a safe and comfortable environment for customers and employees. Implement and enforce safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. Maintain a clean and organized pep store environment, including regular cleaning, proper waste disposal, and adherence to hygiene standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any potential safety hazards
JOB NEEDS:
- High school diploma(Grade12).
- Good at English.
- Some college or university is helpful, like a degree or diploma in business or retail.
- About 1-2 years of retail work experience, leading a team if possible.
- Able to use computers (knowing Microsoft or Google GSuite is a plus).
