Job Description: Sales Consultant

About the Role:
As the avenue Sales Consultant, you will be the face of our company on the sales floor. You will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging shopping experience for every the avenue customer who walks through our doors. Your primary goal is to drive sales by understanding customer needs, providing informed recommendations, and efficiently processing transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Avenue Customer Engagement: Proactively welcome customers to the store, initiating conversations and creating a welcoming atmosphere. Approach customers in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Needs Assessment: Actively listen to customers to understand their specific needs, the avenue preferences, and budget. Ask probing questions to identify the best products or services to meet their requirements.
- Product Knowledge: Maintain a comprehensive understanding of our product catalog, including features, benefits, and pricing. Stay up-to-date on new product releases and promotional offers. Be able to confidently explain the value proposition of each product.
- Product Recommendation: Based on the avenue customer needs, provide tailored product recommendations that align with their requirements. Highlight key features and benefits that are relevant to their individual circumstances.
- Sales and Promotion: Share information about current deals, promotions, and special offers to encourage purchases. Utilize persuasive sales techniques to close sales and achieve individual and team targets.
- Transaction Processing: Accurately and efficiently process sales transactions using our point-of-sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit card, and other forms of payment with precision and integrity.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire sales process, from initial greeting to post-sale follow-up. Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- In-Store Representation: Represent the company and its brands professionally at the in-store level, ensuring that the brand image is upheld. Maintain the visual appeal and cleanliness of the sales floor.
- Target Achievement: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop strategies to increase sales and improve performance.
- Customer Base Growth: Actively contribute to growing the customer base within the assigned region/area by providing outstanding service and fostering customer loyalty. Encourage repeat business through personalized follow-up and relationship building.
To be eligible for the avenue job, you must have:
- A high school certificate (Grade 12)
- Sales experience
- Proficiency in English
- Live within 15km of the job location
- A clean criminal background
