Spar is hiring young, jobless people who have finished high school for their best YES4Youth program, which offers work experience and learning.

Introduction:

Spar is actively seeking to recruit unemployed youth who have successfully completed their Matric (Grade 12) to apply for their exciting YES4Youth Work Experience Learnership Program. This initiative is a fantastic opportunity for young individuals looking to gain valuable on-the-job training and develop essential skills in the retail industry. The YES4Youth program, in partnership with the Youth Employment Service (YES), aims to combat youth unemployment by providing structured learning experiences that bridge the gap between education and employment.

Through this Learnership, successful applicants will not only gain practical work experience within a Spar store environment but will also receive accredited training, ultimately enhancing their employability and future career prospects. This program underscores Spar’s commitment to investing in the future of South Africa’s youth and fostering a pipeline of skilled individuals ready to contribute to the country’s economic growth. Requirements:

To apply, you must: be a South African citizen, between 18 and 28 years old, and not employed or studying full-time. You need a Matric certificate, a clean criminal record, and must be available for the whole year-long program. Having a University degree or a technical trade qualification from a Further Education and Training (FET) college is a plus.

The job begins on April 1, 2025.

Selected people will be asked to join JumpStart training, a week of work, and an interview. Note: Catalyx / SPAR / Build It / YES never asks for money to be part of this.
