Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Parts Procurement

  • Manage the acquisition of truck and bakkie parts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ordering of parts in coordination with the parts buyer.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers to track deliveries and address discrepancies.

Job Card Management

  • Efficiently open and close job cards, capturing all necessary details for billing and reporting.
  • Ensure all job card information is up-to-date and accurate.

Stock Management

  • Conduct regular stock takes to maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Ensure critical parts are always available to support workshop operations.

Data Entry and Record-Keeping

  • Update and maintain records for parts orders, inventory, and job cards in the company’s systems.
  • Generate reports to support workshop operations and management.

Communication and Coordination

  • Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the workshop team to ensure seamless repairs and maintenance workflows.
  • Address customer and team inquiries professionally and promptly.

Administrative Support

  • Perform general administrative duties such as filing, record-keeping, and report generation.
  • Assist in developing and improving workshop processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience as a parts buyer for trucks and bakkies is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer systems for job card management, stock tracking, and administration.
  • Demonstrates accuracy in stock management and job card processing.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective liaison with suppliers, customers, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational skills to maintain records, inventory, and job cards.
  • Works well in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
