Requirements:

  • Education:
    • Degree or National Diploma in Financial Management, or Senior Certificate with 3 years of experience in a financial environment.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3 years in financial management or administration.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Policy analysis.
    • Project management.
    • Knowledge of PFMA, DoRA, Treasury regulations, and relevant legislative prescripts.
    • Understanding of IsiZulu and African culture.
    • Strong planning, decision-making, numeracy, and analytical skills.
    • Problem-solving ability.
    • Communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Computer literacy.
    • Valid driver’s license.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial management support to Traditional Councils (TCs).
  • Procure supplies and services for Traditional Councils and Local Houses of Traditional Leaders (LH).
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of assets for TCs and LH.
  • Address audit reports and resolve queries.
  • Ensure proper allocation and usage of allocated resources.
