Job Description

A dynamic and growing company specializing in equipment rental solutions is seeking a Personal Assistant (PA) to support the CEO. This critical role is responsible for streamlining operations, managing priorities, and ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks. Key Responsibilities

  1. Executive Support & Efficiency
    • Manage both professional and personal tasks for the CEO to ensure smooth daily operations.
    • Prioritize urgent matters and address potential bottlenecks that could affect productivity.
  2. Task Management & Follow-ups
    • Track and ensure that instructions from the CEO are followed and completed on time.
    • Monitor progress and ensure deadlines are met.
  3. Meeting Coordination & Documentation
    • Schedule meetings and prepare detailed agendas.
    • Take comprehensive meeting minutes and ensure follow-up tasks are executed.
  4. Inbox & Calendar Management
    • Organize and prioritize emails and appointments for the CEO.
    • Flag critical matters and ensure important actions are not overlooked.
  5. Personal Assistance
    • Manage personal tasks to free up the CEO’s time for business-critical decisions.
  6. Confidentiality & Discretion
    • Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and care.
  7. Process Improvement
    • Identify and implement systems and processes to improve efficiency and streamline operations.

Short-Term Goals

  • Reduce the CEO’s workload by effectively managing administrative, personal, and operational tasks.
  • Ensure efficient tracking and completion of projects and assignments.
  • Improve communication and organization across multiple departments.

Long-Term Goals

  • Develop and implement a structured and efficient support system for the CEO.
  • Gain a deep understanding of the company’s operations and potentially advance into a strategic role.
  • Become a key point of coordination for executive-level operations, helping to drive business efficiency.

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience: At least two years in a similar role (preferred, but not required).
  • License: A valid driver’s license with a minimum of two years of driving experience.
  • Must be a confident driver, comfortable with driving a bakkie in Gauteng.
  • Previous experience in a teaching, training, or mentoring role is advantageous but not required.

Working Conditions

  • Location: Silverton, Pretoria.
  • Salary: R13 000 – R20 000 (depending on experience).
  • Working Hours:
    • Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00
    • Friday: 07:30 – 16:00
    • Every second Saturday: 07:30 – 11:00 (Remote work available).
  • Travel Requirements:
    • Randburg: Weekly travel (No overnight stay required).
    • Polokwane: Occasional travel with overnight stays (usually just one night).
