Job Overview

Fidelity Services Group is seeking a Direct Sales Team Leader to join their team in Cape Town, Western Cape. This role is focused on driving sales efforts, managing a sales team, and ensuring targets for both rented and new client acquisition are met. The Direct Sales Team Leader will be responsible for achieving revenue targets through effective team management, strategic cold calling, networking, and area-specific sales drives.

As part of the Fidelity ADT division, you will also oversee the planning and execution of expos, shopping centre displays, and other marketing initiatives aimed at attracting potential clients. Your leadership skills will be key in guiding your team towards success, with a focus on motivation, training, and overall team performance.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales and Team Leadership:
    • Drive sales efforts to achieve required rented and new client targets for both yourself and your team.
    • Lead by example in making cold calls, generating new client leads, and maintaining current client relationships.
    • Plan and implement strategic sales activities such as expos and shopping centre displays.
    • Direct the team in achieving their individual and collective sales goals, ensuring optimum performance.
  2. Staff Management and Development:
    • Manage day-to-day operations of the sales team, including handling HR-related issues, team wellbeing, and providing regular coaching and feedback.
    • Identify staff training and development needs, and provide ongoing support to ensure staff reach their potential.
    • Complete paperwork for recruitment and handling personnel changes.
    • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
  3. Networking and Lead Generation:
    • Proactively network to generate leads and create new business opportunities.
    • Drive area-specific sales campaigns and ensure that each team member is actively contributing to lead generation and client acquisition.
    • Maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects to ensure continued business.
  4. Administrative and Reporting:
    • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and on time, particularly in relation to new client recruitment and staffing changes.
    • Monitor and report on sales performance, making adjustments as necessary to achieve targets.
    • Oversee team attendance and other administrative tasks related to staff management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
  • PSIRA Grade certification (Compulsory).
  • Direct Sales Experience is essential, with a proven track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Training Experience is advantageous.
  • Strong Computer Literacy, including proficiency in MS Office, email, and internet usage.

  • Sales Management: Strong leadership skills, with a focus on achieving sales goals and motivating teams.
  • Cold Calling & Lead Generation: Ability to proactively identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients.
  • Team Development: Demonstrated experience in training, developing, and managing a sales team to success.
  • Planning & Execution: Strong organizational skills to implement and manage various sales campaigns, expos, and other events.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to manage staff queries and provide solutions in a timely manner.
