Key Responsibilities
- Pump Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and servicing of various pump systems.
- Diagnose mechanical faults and implement effective repair solutions.
- Dismantle, clean, and reassemble pump systems for scheduled servicing.
- Replace worn-out or faulty pump components such as bearings, seals, shafts, and impellers.
- Installation & Commissioning
- Install new pump systems, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and fitting according to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct pre-commissioning performance tests to ensure pumps function within operational parameters.
- Adjust pump parameters, including pressure settings, to optimize efficiency and performance.
- Fabrication & Modification
- Manufacture or modify pump components to meet operational needs.
- Work with engineers and technical teams to customize pumps for specific applications.
- Utilize specialized tools and techniques to fabricate customized fittings.
- Record-Keeping & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including service logs, test results, and component replacements.

- Safety & Workplace Standards

- Communicate with clients regarding project updates, technical advice, and maintenance schedules.

Qualifications & Experience Required
To qualify for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Education & Certification:
- Trade Certification (e.g., Red Seal) in Fitting & Turning, Mechanical Fitting, or equivalent.
- Additional certifications in pump systems, hydraulics, or mechanical engineering would be beneficial.
Work Experience:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience working with pumps in industrial, commercial, or marine environments.
- Proven expertise in servicing and maintaining different types and sizes of pumps.
- Strong background in mechanical systems and pump operation principles.
Technical Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and mechanical repair equipment.
- Knowledge of pump alignment techniques, sealing methods, and component fabrication.
- Ability to conduct pressure and performance testing on pump systems.
- Familiarity with lubrication systems and vibration analysis.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license (essential).
