The Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) is seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to join our team as a Receptionist at our Bloemfontein Office, serving the Free State and Northern Cape Province. This is an excellent opportunity to be the first point of contact for the CCMA, providing essential administrative support and ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for all visitors and staff.

Position: Receptionist

Location: Free State and Northern Cape Province – Bloemfontein Office

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors to the Bloemfontein office, providing a warm, professional, and helpful welcome.
  • Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, taking accurate messages and ensuring timely communication.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is clean, tidy, and presentable at all times.
  • Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, and filing.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and manage meeting room bookings.
  • Provide general information and assistance to clients and staff.
  • Assist with the preparation of documents and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Office Manager or Supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Fluency in English and at least one other official language spoken in the Free State or Northern Cape Province.
