Role Summary:

As a two mountains Sales Agent, your primary responsibility will be to market Old Mutual products, primarily funeral insurance, to both new and existing clients. You will work directly with clients, understanding their unique needs and financial goals, and recommending tailored solutions that provide vital financial protection. You will play a critical role in enabling positive financial futures for your clients by helping them safeguard their assets and estate, and ensuring their loved ones are protected during difficult times.

This is a two mountains commission-only role, offering you the potential to earn a substantial income based on your sales performance and dedication. We provide comprehensive training and ongoing support to equip you with the knowledge, skills, and resources you need to succeed.

Key Responsibilities: What You’ll Do

  • Direct Sales & Client Engagement: Conduct face-to-face sales of funeral insurance products to prospective and existing customers. This includes actively prospecting for new leads, scheduling appointments, and presenting product information in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Needs Analysis & Solution Recommendation: Engage with clients to understand their individual circumstances, financial aspirations, and protection needs. Based on this assessment, recommend the most appropriate Old Mutual funeral insurance products to meet their specific requirements.
  • Product Education & Explanation: Thoroughly explain the features, benefits, and terms of the funeral insurance products to each customer, ensuring they fully understand the coverage and how it aligns with their needs. This includes detailed explanations of premium payment schedules, policy terms, and claims processes.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, trusting relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and ongoing support. Proactively follow up with clients, address their questions and concerns, and provide regular updates on their policies.
  • Payment Follow-Up: Diligently follow up with clients who have missed their first payment, providing assistance and guidance to ensure they remain covered and avoid policy lapse.
  • Sales Target Achievement: Consistently work towards achieving daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, demonstrating a strong commitment to driving sales growth and exceeding expectations.
  • Reporting & Communication: Accurately report your daily sales activities, planned meetings, and client interactions to your designated Sales Coordinator (SC). Maintain open and effective communication with your SC to receive guidance, feedback, and support.
  • Compliance & Integrity: Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and ethical guidelines when completing paperwork, handling customer information, and conducting sales activities. Ensure all customer interactions are conducted with the highest levels of integrity and professionalism.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Provide respectful, helpful, and professional service to all customers, addressing their inquiries promptly and resolving any issues effectively.
  • Query Management: Record all customer queries and concerns accurately and efficiently, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate department for resolution.
  • Code of Conduct: Uphold and adhere to the company’s Code of Conduct at all times, demonstrating a commitment to ethical business practices and professional conduct.
