Position Overview
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a skilled and passionate Nail Technician for their Cornubia salon. In this role, you will be responsible for building your own clientele and promoting Dis-Chem’s wide range of nail treatments.
Location: Cornubia, Umhlanga
Salary: Market-related salary + commission

Key Responsibilities
- Client Relations: Build a loyal clientele base by offering excellent nail care services and promoting the various nail treatments Dis-Chem has to offer.
- Promotions: Conduct monthly promotions to attract and retain clients.
- Target Achievement: Ensure monthly treatment and product sales targets are met.
- Customer Feedback: Report on customer compliments and complaints to improve service quality.
- Training & Development: Attend training sessions to stay updated on new products and treatment techniques.
- Customer Documentation: Ensure new customers complete customer cards for accurate record-keeping.
- Stock Management: Report on stock levels, including short, damaged, and expired products, and ensure effective merchandising.
- Nail Care Services: Provide high-standard nail care services, including manicures and pedicures, with excellent nail painting techniques.
Minimum Requirements
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 / Matric or Senior Certificate
- Nail Technician Certificate (gel and acrylic)
- At least 2 years of technical experience in a professional beauty/nail salon environment
- Willingness to work retail hours
Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of nail technology, including correct product application techniques and nail contra-indications.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- A team player with good customer relations skills.
- Trustworthy and honest with a strong work ethic.
- Deadline and target-driven, with effective daily treatment planning and administration.
Advantageous
- Bilingual
Special Conditions of Employment
- Willing and able to work retail hours.
- Physically fit and able to perform manicures and pedicures.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport, or reside near the store.
- South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records.
