We are looking for a skilled Merchandiser2 to be part of our energetic team! As a Merchandiser2, you will be key in making our stores look great and boosting sales. Think about being in charge of making sure customers have a wonderful time shopping!
Your job will include:
Making sure we have the correct items on our shelves
Making our shops look amazing
Setting the best prices to increase sales
This job is great for people who love stores, like working quickly, and want to learn and improve.
You will need:
Your own cell phone
A school leaving certificate, ID, SARS Letter, and a bank letter to confirm your account (we will help you upload these)
If you get the job, you must have a Vodacom SIM card.
Here’s what you will do as part of your job.
Stock: Keep track of how much stuff we have, write it down, and take care of it. This means unpacking things and putting them in order.
Displays: Make things look nice in the store. Plan where things go and make signs that get people to notice them.
Product Upkeep: Make sure items look good, have prices, and are taken care of. Get rid of anything old or broken.
Teamwork: Work with people in marketing, sales, and other areas to help the business do well.
Customer Help: Give advice about products, deal with problems, and answer questions.
Store Upkeep: Keep the store and storage areas clean and neat.
What you will achieve: Correct stock counts and nice displays, attractive and well-kept displays, good teamwork with other groups, great customer service and product information, a clean and organized store.
To be considered for this job, you must have these things:
A high school certificate
Experience in these jobs: Merchandiser2, Retail Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Sales Advisor, Sales Agent, Sales Administrator, Sales Assistant, Sales Associate, Sales Consultant, Sales Representative, Salesperson
Ability to speak English
Live within 15km of the job location
No criminal history
Preferences are a bonus, but companies will still consider you even if you don’t meet them all.
South African applicants:
Prior experience in merchandiser2 or a related area
Great communication skills, both in writing and speaking
Able to collaborate with various teams
Capable and eager to do the job well
Quick to learn and use new information
Familiar with working with several company brands (product and category training provided)
Good at reporting
Comfortable using technology (especially on mobile devices)
