CSOS was created by the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act of 2011 to control how people act in community schemes and make sure they are managed well. It started working on October 7, 2016.

Creating a top-notch way to solve problems in community schemes, with excellent organization and a positive work environment.
Encouraging good management of community schemes by creating rules that make things stable and help people get along.
Doing big education programs to teach people involved in community schemes and the general public.
Making community schemes a better choice for owning property.
Creating and using good systems, controls, and steps to make the organization work well financially and efficiently.
