Job Overview
Nurture Health is seeking a passionate Occupational Therapist to join our newly commissioned 36-bed physical rehabilitation hospital in Montana, Gauteng. Our organization specializes in providing medical care, acute and sub-acute rehabilitation for individuals with disabilities caused by diseases or injuries, such as spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, neurological disorders, orthopedic conditions, and more.

Requirements, Experience, and Qualifications
- Education:
- BSc Occupational Therapy / Occupational Therapy (Community Year Completed).
- Registered with the HPCSA (as an independent practitioner) and Malpractice Insurance.
- Maintain CPD standing as per HPCSA requirements.
- Training and Skills:
- Bobath/NDT training (beneficial).
- Basic and intermediate wheelchair training (advantageous).
- Special interest and broad experience in:
- Orthopedic rehabilitation.
- Neurology (CVA/TBI and SCI).
- Vocational readiness.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a physical rehabilitation environment.
- Experience coordinating projects, services, or teams.
Knowledge and Skills
- Extensive knowledge of clinical practices in physical rehabilitation.
- Familiarity with the ICF Framework.
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Awareness of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Computer literacy (beginner/intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook).
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment, setting joint goals and fostering therapeutic relationships.
- Available for weekend or public holiday work on a rotational schedule.
