Job Overview
Cape Union Mart International is looking for a Store Leader to manage the Poetry store at Platz am Meer in Swakopmund, Namibia. The role involves overseeing store operations, achieving sales targets, managing financial aspects, ensuring effective stock control, and providing exceptional customer service. A key part of the role is leading the team to meet store goals while maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales and Budget Management: Achieve the annual sales target by exceeding daily and monthly budgets to ensure store profitability.
- Financial Control: Manage the store’s financial aspects, ensuring profitability and effective use of resources.
- Merchandising and Stock Management: Maintain proper stock levels, monitor stock-related risks, and ensure product availability while adhering to brand standards.
- Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure the best possible experience for customers.
- Human Resource Management: Oversee recruitment, payroll administration, and effectively manage and develop staff.
- Leadership: Inspire, motivate, and hold the team accountable to ensure high performance and a positive workplace culture.
- Policy Implementation: Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

Experience
- Store Management: Minimum of 5 years’ experience in store management.
- Retail Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience in retail, including managing large stores with annual turnover exceeding R20 million.
