Job Overview
Brights Hardware is seeking two dedicated and customer-oriented individuals to join the Frontline Department as Cashiers. This role is crucial in ensuring efficient and accurate service at the cash register, directly contributing to enhanced customer satisfaction and the growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Interaction:
- Warmly greet customers upon entering the store.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide exceptional service.
- Cash Handling:
- Process EFT payments and check cash received from customers.
- Follow the prescribed cash-up procedure and perform daily cash-ups.
- Hand over cash drops to a superior for security purposes.
- Sales Processing:
- Accurately and efficiently ring up sales on the cash register.
- Ensure promotional products and gift cards are processed correctly.
- Check reward cards and facilitate cash-in points for customers.
- Housekeeping and Security:
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Stay vigilant and aware of suspicious customer behavior.
- Stock and Other Duties:
- Participate in perpetual stock takes.
- Perform additional tasks as delegated by a superior.
Requirements
- Education:
- Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar cashier role.
- Skills and Attributes:
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness and vigilance for security concerns.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask.
- Additional Requirements:
- Clear credit score.
- Flexibility to work during holidays and flexible hours to meet business demands.
