Checkers Makhado need a good Merchandiser to join our team! As a Checkers Makhado Merchandiser, you will be key in making our stores look great and selling more products. Think about making Checkers Makhado shopping really fun for our customers!

What you will be doing:
Here’s what you’ll be in charge of during your workdays.
Handling Stock: Keep track of how much stock there is, write it down, and take care of it. This means unpacking and putting products in order.
Making Things Look Good: Set up nice displays, plan how the store should look, and create signs and ads that get people to notice them.
Taking Care of Products: Make sure products are shown correctly, have prices, and are looked after. This Checkers Makhado includes taking away old or broken items.
Working Together: Team up with the marketing, sales, and other teams to reach company goals.
Helping Customers: Give advice about products, deal with customer issues, and answer questions.
Keeping the Store Clean: Make sure the store, including the storage room, is neat, clean, and has nothing in the way.
Main Things to Achieve: Correct stock counts and product displays, appealing and well-kept store displays, good teamwork with other groups, great customer service and product knowledge, a clean and organized store.
Other tasks: Unload deliveries from trucks.
To be considered for this job, you must have these things:
A high school certificate
Experience in these roles: Checkers Makhado Merchandiser, Retail Assistant, Retail Salesperson, Sales Advisor, Sales Agent, Sales Administrator, Sales Assistant, Sales Associate, Sales Consultant, Sales Representative, Salesperson
Ability to speak English
Live within 15km of the job location
No criminal history

South African candidates
- Prior experience in merchandising or a related area
- Great communication skills, both in writing and speaking
- Able to collaborate with various teams
- Capable and eager to do the job well
- Able to learn and use new information
- Experience with several company brands (training on products and categories provided)
- Reporting skills
- Comfortable using technology (especially on mobile devices)
- Applicants should be between 18 and 65 years old
